This is a 3:15 intraday update of Turov on Timing for Thursday, January 5, 2012.
As explained in today’s regular message, I hadn’t expected to be emailing you again prior to daylight Friday morning, but I have a pretty strong signal for tomorrow, and I wanted to share it with you.
First, if the SPX closes up on the day today, then the Intermediate Term Model will downtick from bullish to bearish on tonight’s close. If the SPX closes down on the day today, then the Intermediate Term Model will downtick from bullish to neutral on tonight’s close.
Second, if the SPX closes up on the day today, then the Daily Model will be bearish tomorrow. In that case, TOT daily traders are advised to go 300% short at the market on the close and carry that position overnight and into tomorrow. If I am unable to update tomorrow morning before the opening, then use a 1% protective buy stop on the short position tomorrow.
Thanks for the opportunity to be of service, and I will update again Friday morning, no later than 10:45 a.m..
