1. The market is up sharply. On today’s message I said, “The SPX-based daily model is bullish today, but I am going to override it..” Which proves, once again, that the models I developed are smarter than my ad hoc opinions.
2. In Turov on Overnight Possibilities, I recommended the Precious Metals sector fund for today, AND most Turov Investment Group managed accounts are long the Precious Metals sector fund today. It is currently up 2.06%, a little more than twice the increase in the SPX.
3. Since I started keeping such records in 2002 (14 years ago), excluding Christmas eve, there have been seven (7) times when the market was up on Monday, and Tuesday, and Wednesday in December. In ALL seven cases, the SPX declined on the following Thursday, sometimes significantly.
Thanks for the opportunity to be of service and I’ll email you again in 11 hours – or sooner if circumstances warrant.
