In another incredibly dull, low volume session, the SPX advanced 0.10 point yesterday to close at SPX 1213.55. TOT daily traders came into the session 300% long and have held the position overnight and into today.

Since initiation of this service on September 30, 1993, our daily trader recommendations have gained 8405.78 cumulative SPX points compared to a gain of 754.62 points in the index itself over the same period.

The super long term perspective for the stock market remains bearish, and it’s unlikely anything will change that for several years.

Both the long term and short term models remain neutral, but they are seriously deteriorating.

The directional component of the daily model is again bullish today, but the risk component of the model has increased substantially. TOT daily traders come into today’s session 300% long. Raise your stop to a breakeven SPX 1211. If the SPX rises to 1218, take your profit. If, by the close, neither limit nor stop is reached, then take your profit on the close and go into the new year in cash.

And on that note, have a safe holiday weekend and a wonderful 2005. Thanks for the opportunity to be of service, and I’ll email you again in 72 hours - or sooner if circumstances warrant.
